The table below identifies if zero-emission (ZE) cargo handling equipment (CHE) is commercially available by general CHE types. This table will be updated periodically as new information is made available.
Acronyms/Terms used in the Table:
BE: Battery Electric Powered - CHE that is primarily powered by onboard batteries which must be recharged on a regular basis.
GE: Grid Electric Powered – CHE that is powered using a continual connection with the power grid using a cable, a busbar, a pantograph, or other method to stay continually connected.
HFC: Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered – CHE that uses onboard hydrogen fuel cells as the primary power source.
