Ice Rinks

Ice rinks are subject to the regulation, Prohibitions on Use of Certain Hydrofluorocarbons in Stationary Refrigeration, Stationary Air-conditioning, and Other End-Uses (HFC Regulation).
“Ice Rink” means a frozen body of water and/or hardened chemicals, including, but not limited to professional ice skating rinks and those used by the general public for recreational purposes.
Ice Rinks are subject to Section 95374 (c), Table 3 of the HFC Regulation which prohibits certain refrigerants based on their global warming potential (GWP). Ice rinks are also subject to the requirements under Section 95475 (c) which includes exceptions, and labeling and recordkeeping requirements.
