North American Trailer, LLC Settlement
North American Trailer, LLC Case Settles for $2,700.00
In November 2012, North American Trailer LLC paid $2,700.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $2,025.00 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $675.00 went to the Peralta Community College District to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that North American Trailer LLC failed to update their Equipment Report within 30 days of changes to their fleet information as required by the Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) regulation. To settle the case, North American Trailer LLC agreed to the $2,700.00 penalty and to comply with the TRU rule and any other applicable ARB programs.
