Miracle Brands, LLC Settles For $6,000
In January 2022, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Miracle Brands, LLC (Miracle Brands), with its principal location in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the amount of $6,000 for the company’s violation of CARB’s air quality regulations. The total penalty amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
An investigation conducted by CARB staff showed that Miracle Brands failed to meet the volatile organic compound (VOC) limit requirements for a nonaerosol general purpose degreaser. CARB documented violations as they related to the Consumer Products Regulations (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 17, § 94507 et seq.). Additionally, Miracle Brands failed to register a manufacture date code (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 17, § 94512(c).
To settle the case, Miracle Brands agreed to the penalty of $6,000. Terms of the settlement include a requirement that Miracle Brands relabel their product and change their date code to a standard format that does not require registration. Miracle Brands fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter.
