Lutrel Trucking Case Settles for $500
In August, 2009, Lutrel Trucking agreed to pay $500 in penalties; $375 to the California Air Pollution Fund, $62.50 to the California Air Pollution Financing Authority and $62.50 to Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Lutrel Trucking failed to properly self-inspect one of their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Lutrel Trucking agreed to the $3,000 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
