$2,000 in Fines Paid by Luster Products, Inc.

Between 2003 and 2004, units of Designer Touch Firm Hold Spritz were sold into California that exceeded the volatile organic compound (VOC) state standard of 55 percent by weight for hairsprays. This product was found at Happy Rootz Beauty Supply in Barstow, California. The case was settled by the Consumer Products Enforcement staff on May 15, 2006 for $2,000 in penalties.
