Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse Case Settles for $7,500

On July 28, 2009, a settlement agreement was executed for $7,500 with Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse (HIW) concerning a second violation of the portable fuel container regulations.  Lowe’s HIW sold non-complying portable gasoline and kerosene containers at their retail stores while the previous case was for online sales through their website.  Lowe’s HIW, Inc. has corrected the errors in their sales restriction databases which allowed non-complying products to be sold in California.
