Lion Tank Lines Case Settles for $2,000
On October 14, 2007, routine sampling at two Long Beach, CA truck stops found that they were each selling diesel with sulfur content higher than the 15 parts per million regulatory limit. Investigation revealed that both facilities had recently received deliveries of diesel fuel from Lion Tank Lines trucks that had previously been used to deliver diesel to marinas. They have taken responsibility for the violations. The cases were settled for $1,000 each on January 26, 2009.
