Linco Enterprises, Inc. Case Settles for $45,000
On January 9, 2019, a Composite Wood case was settled with Linco Enterprises, Inc. (Chino, California) for selling, supplying or offering for sale non-compliant laminate flooring that contained medium density fiberboard (MDF) product in California. The products, Barnwood Classics Horseshoe Meadows and Sepia Sandalwood are both MDF laminate flooring, and contained formaldehyde emissions above the limits set for in the Airborne Toxic Control Measure to Reduce Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products (ATCM), which has been in effect since January 1, 2009. Linco Enterprises, Inc. did not provide a statement of compliance on the customer invoice or customer bill of lading as required. Linco Enterprises, Inc. agreed to pay $45,000.00 to settle this case. Linco Enterprises, Inc. made improvements to their best management plan, which helps ensure the purchase of compliant composite wood products.
