Limon Trucking, Inc. Case Settles for $3,100
Limon Trucking, Inc. paid $3,100.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $2,325.00 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $775.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in April 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Limon Trucking, Inc. failed to bring their Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the deadlines set forth in the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM). ARB documented violations as they related to the TRU ATCM. To settle the case, Limon Trucking, Inc. agreed to the $3,100.00 penalty and to comply with the TRU regulation and other ARB programs.
