Liberty One Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG Case Settles for $53,000
Liberty One Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG paid $53,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on June 25, 2014. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Liberty One Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG vessel NBP Island, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters, and this vessel visited the Port of Long Beach in January of 2014. Liberty One Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Liberty One Shipmanagement GmbH & Co. KG agreed to the $53,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
