Liberty Auto Transport, Inc. Case Settles for $2,000
In February 2016, Liberty Auto Transport, Inc., based in Corona, agreed to pay $2,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $1,500.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $500.00 will go to the School Bus Retrofit Project to retrofit school buses throughout California with diesel emission control strategies.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Liberty Auto Transport, Inc. failed to verify that each fleet hired or dispatched was in compliance with the Truck and Bus Regulation and failed to comply with the record keeping requirements of section 2025(s)(4). To settle the case, Liberty Auto Transport, Inc. agreed to the $2,000.00 penalty and to comply with the TB program in addition to other ARB programs.
