Project Details
Oakland Unified School District and Zūm are on a mission to convert 100% of the district’s student transportation fleet to be carbon neutral and emission free by 2025. Oakland transports 1,300 students, with many from low-income, black neighborhoods and having special needs. The fleet of three on-demand, electric school buses will not only improve mobility options and access for these students but it will be a healthier way to transport them. Electric buses procured under this voucher program will be used for transporting special needs students of Oakland Unified to school, therapy sessions, after school activities and more.
