Project Details
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) will use the Clean Mobility Options Mobility Project Voucher to fund a “Vehicle Lending Library” program that will provide access to charging infrastructure and 13 electric vehicles and for its Section 8 Family Self-Sufficiency clients. The service will prioritize aid in meeting residents’ education and career goals. Vehicles will be “checked out” to individuals for a specified time period at a low or no cost, saving them money while establishing a history of punctuality and attendance with employers and educators, and to hopefully relieve the daily stressors of uncertain transportation.
