LCTI: Charging Forward: HACLA’s EV Lending Library for Economic Equity
Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program
Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles | Charging Forward: HACLA’s EV Lending Library for Economic Equity
Project Status: Awarded
This page is currently under development and will be updated once the voucher agreement has been executed.
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) will use the Clean Mobility Options Mobility Project Voucher to fund a “Vehicle Lending Library” program that will provide access to charging infrastructure and 13 electric vehicles and for its Section 8 Family Self-Sufficiency clients. The service will prioritize aid in meeting residents’ education and career goals. Vehicles will be “checked out” to individuals for a specified time period at a low or no cost, saving them money while establishing a history of punctuality and attendance with employers and educators, and to hopefully relieve the daily stressors of uncertain transportation.
Voucher Total: $1,000,000
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) will lead project implementation. HACLA is one of the nation’s largest and leading public housing authorities, providing the largest supply of quality affordable housing to residents of the City of Los Angeles.
