JFS Enterprises Settles For $6,000.00
In June 2019, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) settled a case for $6,000.00 with JFS Enterprises, of Fresno, California. JFS Enterprises was issued violations for six of their heavy-duty fleet vehicles being out of compliance with California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025 (the Truck and Bus regulation). The fleet noncompliance was discovered during a fleet inspection, an assessment of data from DMV, CARB’s Truck Regulation Upload, and the Compliance and Reporting System
(TRUCRS) database. Specifically, six of the heavy-duty trucks were found to be in violation of the Engine Model Year Schedule in the Truck and Bus regulation. JFS Enterprises agreed to the penalties and compliance terms of the Settlement Agreement. As a result, the six vehicles were retired and noted in DMC’s database for non-use.
