J&D Meat Company Case Settles for $5,004
J&D Meat Company will pay $5,004.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $5,004.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in December, 2017.
An investigation by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) showed that J&D Meat Company failed to bring nine of their Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. CARB documented violations as they related to the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure. To settle the case, J&D Meat Company agreed to the $5,004.00 penalty and to comply with TRU and other ARB programs.
