Ileae Express, Inc. Case Settles for $1,125
In November 2013, Ileae Express Inc. agreed to pay a penalty of $1,125.00 for violating air quality regulations: $844.00 will be paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $281.00 will be paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by CARB showed that, Ileae Express Inc. failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Truck & Bus Regulation. CARB also documented violations as they related to the TRU Regulation. To settle the case, Ileae Express Inc. agreed to the $1,125.00 penalty and to comply with Truck & Bus, TRU , and other CARB programs.
