H&H Trenching, Inc. Case Settles for $23,761.77
Yuba County Superior Court ordered H&H Trenching, Inc. and other Defendants to pay the Air Resources Board (ARB) $23,761.77 in penalties and reimbursement of ARB’s legal costs, for violating air quality regulations. The total amount of $23,761.77 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
An investigation by ARB showed that H&H Trenching, Inc. and other Defendants failed to bring three of their heavy-duty diesel vehicles into compliance with the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation, and that they also failed to bring their off-road fleet into compliance with the In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets (ORE) Regulation. The Court also ordered the Defendants to comply with injunctive relief, including reporting certain information to CARB beyond that required by the regulations.
