Heritage Pools Case Settles for $2,500
In June 2010, Heritage Pools agreed to pay $2,500 in penalties; $1,875 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, and $625 to Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Heritage Pools failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Heritage Pools agreed to the $2,500 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
