Gregg Drilling & Testing, Inc. Case Settles for $35,000
Gregg Drilling & Testing, Inc. is paying $84,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. $35,000.00 will go to the Central California Asthma Collaborative; a Supplemental Environmental Project which aims to improve the lives of asthma sufferers by helping them identify asthma triggers and providing medical care to individuals who have little or no access to quality health care. $49,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Gregg Drilling & Testing, Inc. failed to bring 28 of their on-road diesel fueled vehicles into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, Gregg Drilling & Testing, Inc. agreed to a $84,000.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs. This settlement was reached in October, 2017.
