Golden State Foods Case Settles for $18,000
On August 1, 2010, Golden State Foods agreed to pay $18,000 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $13,500 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $4,500 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Community Colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Golden State Foods failed to comply with California Code of Regulation (CCR), Title 13, Section 2477 by submitting incorrect data in the ARB Equipment Registration (ARBER) system. To settle the case, Golden State Foods agreed to the $18,000 penalty and to comply with CCR, Title 13, Section 2477.
