Golden Bridge Holiday, Inc. Case Settles for $22,500
Golden Bridge Holiday, Inc. will pay $22,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $16,876.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $5,625.00 will go to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District to fund retrofits and replacements for school buses. This settlement was reached in February 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Golden Bridge Holiday, Inc. failed to bring four of their heavy-duty diesel trucks into compliance with the diesel particulate matter best available control technology and failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and the Truck and Bus Regulation (TB). To settle the case, Golden Bridge Holiday, Inc. agreed to the $22,500.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP, TB, and any other applicable ARB regulations.
