Gary Mattos Trucking Case Settles for $825
In November 2014, Gary Mattos Trucking agreed to pay a penalty of $825.00 for violating air quality regulations: $620.00 will be paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $205.00 will be paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Gary Mattos Trucking failed to failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Statewide Truck & Bus (STB) Regulation and also failed to meet the requirements of the Small Fleet Compliance Schedule per the STB Regulation. To settle the case, Gary Mattos Trucking agreed to the $825.00 penalty and to comply with the STB Regulation and other ARB programs.
