Whilst this project has merits as it will reduce electric consumption, it's worth noting that none of the investment will directly benefit the electric grid .The electricity produced and stored through the steam generator will only be used on site. There will be no direct benefit to the electric grid, except allowing the company to reduce its electric bill. Therefore I strongly feel that this project should NOT receive any subsidy. Since the company is considering this project, it means that it has a decent ROI and the company should carry alone the investment as they will solely benefit from its savings... In addition, California should not subsidized Oil& Gas companies due to their negative impact on the environment and global warming. This should be a key part of the state guidelines.
