FBD Vanguard Construction Inc. Case Settles for $12,600

FBD Vanguard Construction Inc. will pay $12,600.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $12,600.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in November 2017.

An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that FBD Vanguard Construction Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards and failed to bring 4 of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards.  ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus Regulation and Periodic Smoke Inspection Program.  To settle the case, FBD Vanguard Construction Inc. agreed to the $12,600.00 penalty and to comply with the Truck and Bus Regulation, Periodic Smoke Inspection Program, and other applicable ARB regulations.
