Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corporation Case Settles for $7,500
Enforcement Division staff conducted a routine inspection aboard the marine vessel Ever Salute which was berthed in the Port of Oakland on August 31, 2015. Staff obtained a sample of the marine gas oil from the no. 2 supply pump as well as reviewed and copied records to verify compliance with the requirements of the Ocean-Going Vessel Air Toxic Control Measure. The laboratory analysis had determined the sulfur content of the sample was 2,630 ppm, which is above the 0.1 percent sulfur limit. The sulfur content of the sample was determined pursuant to International Standard ISO 8754.
On February 9, 2016, Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corporation agreed to the penalty involving the Ever Salute for $7,500.00 and to comply with all ARB Regulations.
