Second Public Work Group to Discuss Clean Mobility Investment Projects and the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Update to the Three-Year Plan for Clean Transportation Equity Investments
Categories
The California Air Resources Board (CARB or Board) invites you to participate in the second public work group meeting to discuss clean mobility investment projects and the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-23 clean mobility update to the three-year plan for clean transportation equity investments. Senate Bill (SB) 1275 (De León, Chapter 530, Statutes of 2014) required CARB to include a long-term plan for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) and related programs, including clean mobility investment projects, in the FY 2016-17 Funding Plan and to update the plan every three years through January 1, 2023. This second major update to the plan covers the period between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025.
CARB staff will provide a recap of the February 17, 2022, public work group meeting, including feedback received in this and other related engagement efforts and updates on CARB’s mobility outreach and engagement process. Based on feedback provided, CARB staff is developing a clean mobility investments long-term plan proposal (proposal). This proposal includes key elements such as funding goals and objectives, projected funding demand across projects, considerations for how mobility funding could be accelerated within existing projects based on the Governor’s March 23, 2022, relief package proposal, and metrics to evaluate programs, track progress and measure benefits. CARB will provide more detail on evaluation scopes, methodologies, timelines, the overall proposal to include questions we hope to address for developing the long-term plan, and next steps leading up to the final work group in May 2022.
