Who is Eligible
Incentives are available to California residents, age 18 or older, who have an annual household income at or below 300% of Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Priority applicants are residents that will receive additional funding if they live in a disadvantaged or low-income community or have an annual household income at or below 225% of FPL.
How it’s Administered
The project is administered by Pedal Ahead and incentives are distributed to residents as vouchers. Once approved, the voucher recipients will be able to redeem the vouchers at authorized e-bike retailers. Authorized retailers will apply the voucher discount to an approved e-bike at the point of sale.
Where and When it’s Offered
Vouchers will be available through the project website (coming soon) with an expected statewide launch in 2024.
Project Funding or Participation Requirements
Applicants must meet and agree to the terms and conditions of the project, which include:
- Must be 18 years or older
- A California resident
- Household income must be at or below 300% of FPL
- Priority applicants must live in a disadvantaged or low-income community or have an annual household income at or below 225% FPL
- Participate in survey evaluations
- Complete e-bike safety training
Announcements and Upcoming Activities
