New San Francisco Bait Distributors Case Settles for $5,875.00
On April 9, 2013, New San Francisco Bait Distributors agreed to pay $5,875.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $4,406.24 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund; which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality and $1,468.76 went to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that New San Francisco Bait Distributors failed to upgrade engines in several of their TRU’s and failed to smoke test their vehicles. ARB documented violations as they related to the TRU and PSIP regulations as set forth by Title 13 California Code of Regulations (CCR) Sections 2477 and 2190. New San Francisco Bait Distributors has upgraded their TRU engines, smoke tested all of their vehicles, agreed to pay $5,875.00 in penalties and comply with the TRU, PSIP and all applicable ARB regulations.
