DJJ Cabinets Corporation Case Settles for $7,500
On January 23, 2019, a Composite Wood case was settled with DJJ Cabinets Corporation (Anaheim, California) for not taking precautions to ensure the cabinets that were imported, sold, supplied or offered for sale met the requirements of the Airborne Toxic Control Measure to Reduce Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products, which has been in effect since January 1, 2009. DJJ Cabinets Corporation did not provide a statement of compliance on the customer invoice or customer bill of lading as required. DJJ Cabinets Corporation agreed to pay $7,500.00 to settle this case. DJJ Cabinets Corporation made improvements to their best management plan, which helps ensure the purchase of compliant composite wood products.
