Public Work Group Meeting on Medium and Heavy-Duty Infrastructure: On January 19 via remote access, CARB, the California Energy Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission, and the Governor’s Office of Business Administration and Economic Development will hold the last of four work group meetings to discuss medium and heavy-duty infrastructure. The focus of this meeting will be on costs and funding including upfront site costs, effects of increased electrification on rates, and the availability and structure of incentives. Participants are invited to discuss current infrastructure activities, challenges, and solutions required to support zero-emission trucks and buses in response to the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets regulations.
Public Workshop for Proposed Amendments to Small Containers of Automotive Refrigerant Regulation: On January 20 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss the Small Containers of Automotive Refrigerant regulation amendment proposal. The proposed amendment will focus on the container deposit and recycling requirement. At this workshop, staff will provide an overview of the amendment process and solicit input from the public.
Public Work Group Meeting to Discuss Grant Solicitation for Fiscal Year 2021-22 Financing Assistance for Lower-Income Consumers Project: On January 20 via remote access, CARB staff invites the public to participate in a work group meeting to discuss the Financing Assistance for Lower-Income Consumers Project. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 grant solicitation. Depending on the result of the fourth quarter 2021 Cap-and-Trade Program auction proceeds, an additional $5.5 million may be added to the already available $10 million intended to bring the benefits of clean transportation to lower-income and disadvantaged communities most impacted by air pollution.
Public Work Group Meeting to Discuss Modification to the Clean Cars 4 All Program Guidelines: On January 20 via remote access, CARB will hold a public work group meeting to discuss the guidelines for the Clean Cars 4 All (CC4A) program. CARB staff will provide an overview of the CC4A and will discuss potential modifications to allow for statewide expansion. Participation from the public is strongly encouraged as staff seeks to solicit input and address stakeholder questions.
Technical Work Group Meeting on Amendments to Chrome Plating Airborne Toxics Control Measure: On January 20 via remote access, CARB will host the sixth virtual technical work group meeting to discuss the amendments for the Airborne Toxics Control Measure for Chrome Plating and Chromic Acid Anodizing Facilities (Chrome Plating ATCM). Continuing the ongoing conversations with stakeholders, CARB staff will discuss regulatory concepts to amend the Chrome Plating ATCM, the scope and content of the environmental analysis, and the preliminary funding information for implementing the proposed concepts and alternatives.
Public Work Group to Discuss Grant Solicitation for FY 2021-22 Electric Bicycle Incentive Project: On January 21 via remote access, CARB will provide an opportunity at a work group meeting for the public to discuss the grant solicitation of $10 million to implement the Electric Bicycle Incentives Project for FY 2021-22. An overview of this new project will be presented that will include innovate solutions that may be employed to bring the benefits of electric bicycles to lower-income and disadvantaged communities that are most impacted by air pollution.
