Stationary sources are large, fixed sources of air pollution and include power plants, refineries, and factories.

Each of the local air districts estimates the emissions for the stationary sources within its jurisdiction. CARB then compiles this information and makes it available to the public through the Facility Search tool. To learn more about how the emissions are estimated for a particular facility, please contact the local air district in which the facility is located. Some emission factors used to calculate emissions are listed in CATEF.
