Eletson Corporation Piraeus - Hellas Case Settles for $2,000.00

Eletson Corporation has paid $2,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on February 12, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Eletson Corporation vessel, Polyaigos, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. Eletson Corporation took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Eletson Corporation agreed to the $2,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
