Diamond Trucking, Inc. Case Settles for $21,150
In December 2014, Diamond Trucking, Inc. paid $21,150 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $15,850 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $5,300 went to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for the school bus retrofit Supplemental Environmental Project.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Diamond Trucking, Inc. failed to have 60% of their fleet meet the PM BACT requirements by January 1, 2013 and 90% by January 1, 2014 as required by the Statewide Truck & Bus regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the Statewide Truck and Bus regulation. To settle the case, Diamond Trucking, Inc. agreed to the $21,150 penalty and to comply with the Statewide Truck and Bus regulations and other ARB programs.
