Research Summary:
The goal of this project is to help the California Air Resources Board (CARB) incentivize lower-polluting consumer choices. Encouraging lower-polluting choices is important to help CARB achieve air quality and climate change goals through voluntary actions by providing consumers with accurate information that helps them to make informed decisions. The Contractor will review the literature on ways in which people have been encouraged to make lower-polluting decisions. In addition, the Contractor will help CARB design a test of how to encourage people to take action.
