Daytona Twin Tec, LLC Case Settles for $31,875
Daytona Twin Tec, LLC (Daytona) is a manufacturer of aftermarket parts. Daytona sold, offered for sale, and/or advertised, in California, aftermarket critical emission control parts. These parts modified or altered the original design or performance of the motor vehicle pollution control device or system. Upon receiving a cease and desist letter from the Air Resources Board (ARB) Daytona immediately halted all performance parts sales and transactions in California. Daytona has taken steps by applying for exemptions of its coils, ignition kits and tuner.
The case was settled in June 2015 with Daytona agreeing to pay $7,968.75 to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for the School Bus and Diesel Emission Reduction SEP and $23,906.25 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for a total settlement amount of $31,875.00.
