Community Air Grants

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) established the Community Air Protection Program (CAPP) through Assembly Bill 617 to improve air quality in communities disproportionately affected by air pollution. CARB provides grants to community organizations through the Community Air Grants (CAGs) program to build local capacity, improve air quality, and support community participation in CAPP. Under Blueprint 2.0, the CAGs program is expanding to provide benefits to communities impacted by air pollution beyond the 19 initially selected for CAPP, aligning with CARB's commitment to environmental justice.
