Calstone Company Case Settles for $5,500
Calstone Company agreed to pay $5,500 in penalties; $4,125 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $1,375 to Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Calstone Company failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Calstone Company agreed to the $5,500 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
