California Clean Air Technologies, LLC Case Settles for $4,875.00
In April 2013, California Clean Air Technologies, LLC paid $4,875.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $3,656.25 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,218.75 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that California Clean Air Technologies, LLC failed to comply with the Verification Procedure, with respect to equipping vehicles in California, between 2009 and 2010, with diesel emission control strategies used in off-road applications that did not conform to the conditions specified in the applicable executive orders. To settle the case, California Clean Air Technologies, LLC agreed to the $4,875.00 penalty and to comply with the Verification Procedure.
