Bruin Express Intermodal LLC Case Settles for $17,000

Bruin Express Intermodal LLC agreed to pay $17,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $12,750.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $4,250.00 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges.  This settlement was reached in August 2012.

An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Bruin Express Intermodal LLC failed to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation by dispatching drayage trucks that are not compliant with the emission standards set forth in the regulation.  To settle the case, Bruin Express Intermodal LLC agreed to the $17,000.00 penalty and to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation.
