Boshart Engineering Inc. Case Settles for $3,750
Boshart Engineering Inc. paid $3,750 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $ 2,812.50 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $937.50 to the California Pollution Control Financing Authority to guarantee loans to off-road vehicle fleets that need to buy exhaust retrofits to comply with the in-use off-road diesel vehicle regulation. This settlement was reached in July 2009. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Boshart Engineering Inc. failed to comply with the California Vehicle Code Section 27156 by offering for sale their emission control system prior to obtaining verification. To settle the case, Boshart Engineering Inc. agreed to the $3,750 penalty and to comply with the Aftermarket Parts regulation.
