Training Webinar on Air Regulation Affecting Public Schools in California: On September 9 via webcast, CARB staff will provide a training webinar on regulations that affect public schools. This course is designed to educate public school employees about the basic regulatory requirements for heavy-duty diesel vehicles developed to reduce emissions from diesel vehicles in equipment operating in California and to provide awareness of compliance requirements.
Public Workshop on Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation: On September 9 via webinar, CARB staff will facilitate a public workshop to discuss the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Regulation. At this third workshop, an overview of the draft regulation language and updated cost assumptions will be discussed. The ACF rulemaking is part of a comprehensive strategy to achieve zero-emission truck and bus fleets by 2045 throughout the State.
Public Meeting on Community Emissions Reduction Program for Eastern Coachella: On September 9 via remote access, CARB will conduct a public meeting to consider the approval of the Community Emissions Reduction Program for the Eastern Coachella Valley. Assembly Bill 617 (Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017) requires community-focused action to reduce air pollution and improve public health in communities that experience disproportionate burdens from exposure to air pollutants. CARB selected the community of Eastern Coachella Valley for a community emissions reduction program, and the South Coast Air Quality Management District worked with a community steering committee to develop the Eastern Coachella Valley Community Emissions Reduction Program.
