Public Work Group Meeting on Electric Bicycle Incentives Project: On September 27 via remote access, CARB staff will hold a public work group meeting to discuss the Electric Bicycle Incentives Project $10 million budget allocation for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22. Stakeholders are encouraged to participate and share their thoughts on project goals and potential next steps.
Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting: On September 27 via Zoom, CARB will host a public meeting for the Assembly Bill (AB) 32 (Núñez, 2006) Environmental Justice Advisory Committee. The committee is comprised of representatives from California communities most heavily impacted by air pollution, including those communities with minority or low-income populations. This upcoming virtual meeting is open to the public and includes a public comment period.
Public Webinar on CARB Programs and Regulations: On September 28 via remote access, CARB will host a public webinar on several new regulatory programs that will aid the State in achieving carbon neutrality. The course will cover requirements for existing, new, and upcoming regulations, proposed program elements, and the regulatory process.
Public Workshop on 2022 Scoping Plan Update: On September 30 via remote access, CARB staff will host a public workshop that will enable stakeholders to provide feedback on modeling inputs for a range of scenarios under consideration. The purpose of the modeled scenarios is to illustrate the effectiveness of deployment of the varying technologies and clean energy that will help define paths in achieving carbon neutrality. This workshop is part of a series of workshops CARB is hosting in support of the 2022 Scoping Plan Update and is meant to assess progress towards achieving the 2030 target in Senate Bill (SB) 32 (Pavely, 2006) and lay out a path to achieve carbon neutrality no later than 2045 (SB 100, De León, 2018).
Public Webinar on Diesel Particulate Filter Operation and Maintenance: On September 30 via remote access, CARB will hold a public webinar on Diesel Emission Control Strategies as well as diesel particulate filter (DPF) technology. The course will cover health impacts from diesel emissions, diesel emission control technology, DPF construction and application, and the maintenance necessary for successful DPF operation.
Public Meeting on USS Bonhomme Richard Fire Post Incident Review: On September 30 via remote access, CARB staff will host a public meeting to obtain input from the community impacted by the July 2020 fire abord the U.S. Naval Vessel Bonhomme Richard. Topics of discussion will include the progress CARB and the San Diego Air Pollution Control District have made so far and the recommendations based on the preliminary review findings.
