Public Workshop to Discuss Potential Changes to Oil and Gas Methane Regulation: On September 20 via remote access, CARB will hold a public workshop to discuss possible changes to the California Oil and Gas Methane Regulation. CARB staff will share data and discuss recent findings from implementation of the regulation, outline potential amendments that result from recent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency actions, and seek input from stakeholders.
Workshop on Proposed Amendments to Area Designations for State Ambient Air Quality Standards: On September 21 via remote access, CARB staff will host a public workshop to share input on proposed area designations for State ambient air quality standards (State standards). The presentation will include background information on the State standards, the designation process, and proposed amendments to the area designations.
Board Meeting: On September 22 via webcast, the Board will hear the following agenda items: 1) consideration of proposed research contract entitled, “Children’s Health and Air Pollution Study: Standardized Assessments, Attention and Cognition in California Kids,” with the University of California, Berkeley; 2) the Innovative Clean Transit regulation's implementation update and 2023 program readiness; and 3) consideration of the proposed 2022 State Strategy for the State Implementation Plan.
