Advanced Clean Fleets Truck Regulation Implementation Group Meeting: On November 4 via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting of the Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Truck Implementation Group (TRIG) to discuss infrastructure. CARB adopted the ACF Regulation on April 28, 2023, and it became effective on October 1, 2023. The focus of this meeting will be on hydrogen and, specifically, activities that are needed to address challenges tied to hydrogen supply, cost and price, distribution, and offtake. The public will have the opportunity to provide comment and ask questions as time permits. Public Health Workgroup of the California Climate Action Team: On November 7 via remote access, CARB, along with the California Department of Public Health, will host a meeting of the Public Health Workgroup of the California Climate Action Team (CAT-PHWG). Staff will discuss California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment Public Health Report. CAT-PHWG addresses cross-cutting issues related to climate change and health, and provides a forum for communication, coordination, and education across agencies and with stakeholders, particularly local health departments.
Compliance Seminar: On November 7 in Santa Maria, CARB, along with Donahue Truck Centers, will host a compliance seminar to discuss Clean Truck Check, Advanced Clean Fleets, Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) compliance, TRUCRS reporting, among other topics.
Joint Public Meeting: On November 7 in Riverside and via webcast, CARB will host a joint public meeting with the California Transportation Commission (CTC) and the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The purpose of these joint meetings, which are held at least twice a year, is to coordinate interagency efforts in the implementation of policies that affect transportation, air quality, housing, and climate.
Board Meeting: On November 7-8 in Riverside and via webcast, the Board will hear the following agenda items: 1) proposed amendments to on-road motorcycle emission standards and test procedures as well as the adoption of new on-board diagnostics and zero-emission motorcycle requirements; and 2) proposed amendments to the Low Carbon Fuel Standard Regulation.
