Workshop on Proposed Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation Amendments: On November 13 in Sacramento and via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting to discuss the proposed amendments to the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation. Staff will seek feedback from manufacturers, fleet owners, and interested stakeholders.
Public Landscaper Workgroup Meeting on Small Off-Road Engines: On November 14 via remote access, CARB will host a public workgroup for professional landscapers in order to discuss recent updates to the small off-road engine (SORE) regulations. Staff will also present information on incentives for electric landscape equipment to assist landscapers with the transition to zero-emission equipment.
Workshop on Advanced Clean Cars II Amendments: On November 15 in Riverside and via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss potential amendments to the Advanced Clean Cars II regulations. In October 2023, CARB staff launched a new effort to consider potential amendments to these regulations, including updates to the tailpipe greenhouse-gas emissions standard and limited revisions to the Low-Emission Vehicle and Zero-Emission Vehicle regulations. Staff will seek input from the public as well as discuss next steps and a potential rulemaking timeline.
Workshop on Non-Truck Transport Refrigeration Units Regulation: On November 15 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss ideas for transitioning non-truck transport refrigeration units (TRU) to zero-emission technology. CARB staff will present background information on non-truck TRUs, share updates on pre-regulation development outreach and research, and recap the current state of zero-emission technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide input.
Board Meeting: On November 16 in Sacramento and via webcast, the Board will hear the following agenda item: Fiscal Year 2023-24 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives.
Joint California-Québec Public Workshop: On November 16 via remote access, CARB and the Québec Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP, the Québec Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, and of Wildlife and Parks) will host a public workshop on potential updates to the linked California Cap-and-Trade Program and Québec Cap-and-Trade System. Staff will solicit written feedback following the workshop. The workshop will be presented in English and French with live language interpretation.
Clean Truck Check-Visual Inspection System Reporting Training Webinar: On November 16 via remote access, CARB will host the second of four public online training webinars on the Clean Truck Check-Visual Inspection System (CTC-VIS) reporting site as well as the reporting process. The third and fourth webinars will be held on December 5 and 18. Seven training videos have been posted for the public to gain a better understanding of Clean Truck Check Reporting. Attendees are encouraged to review the training module videos and Clean Truck Check Program information before registering for the training webinar in order to ensure questions from all participants can be addressed. Questions can be submitted in advance of the webinar.
