Senate Bill (SB) 1075 Oakland Community Meeting: On May 27 in Oakland, CA, and on May 28 via remote access, CARB will host a community meeting to support the development of a report on hydrogen production and use in California, as called for by Senate Bill (SB) 1075 (Skinner, Chapter 363, Statutes of 2022). SB 1075 requires an evaluation of hydrogen production, transmission, distribution, and end use to accelerate progress toward the State’s climate and energy goals. California Corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting and Climate Related Financial Risk Disclosure Programs: On May 29 via remote access, CARB will hold a virtual public workshop to support the development of California’s Corporate Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program, established by Senate Bill (SB) 253 (Wiener, 2023), and the Climate-Related Financial Risk Disclosure Program, authorized by SB 261 (Stern, 2023). SB 219 (Wiener, 2024) amended both programs, extending certain deadlines and implementing other administrative changes. The workshop will consist of a morning session where staff will present an overview of the above-mentioned legislation, a timeline for regulatory development, and an overview of feedback received from stakeholders from our December 2024 California Climate-Disclosure Information Solicitation. Additional presentations will include a comparative analysis of greenhouse gas accounting and reporting mechanisms that currently exist across various regulatory and voluntary programs. Implementation Workgroup Meeting: Fiscal Year 2024-25 Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), Innovative Small E-Fleet Pilot Program (ISEF), and Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE): On May 30 via remote access, CARB will hold a workgroup on HVIP, ISEF, and CORE implementation, including changes approved by the Board in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives. Each year, staff conducts workgroups as part of the public process following Board approval of the Funding Plan to define new mechanisms and criteria for the FY while completing annual updates to the Implementation Manual.
