Work Group Meeting on Medium and Heavy-Duty Infrastructure: On March 10 via remote access, CARB, the California Energy Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission, and the Governor’s Office of Business Administration and Economic Development will hold the continuation of the third of four work group meetings to discuss medium and heavy-duty infrastructure. The focus of this meeting will be on electricity and the grid and will specifically address charging performance needs, rate design, load management, grid capacity and resiliency, future proofing, and utility planning. Each meeting will provide opportunities for participants to discuss current infrastructure activities, challenges, and solutions required to support zero-emission trucks and buses in response to the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets regulations.
Research Seminar: On March 10 via remote access, CARB staff will host a research seminar to discuss updates and highlights of the CARB funded University of California, Davis research project on public health impacts of simultaneous exposure to ultrafine particulate matter and ozone.
Joint Meeting of the Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee and CARB: On March 10 via webcast, the Assembly Bill (AB) 32 (Núñez, Chapter 488, Statutes of 2006) Environmental Justice Advisory Committee (EJAC) and CARB will hold a joint meeting. At this public meeting, the Board will consider staff’s recommendations for the appointment of new members to EJAC. Additionally, EJAC leadership will present their recommendations for the development of the 2022 Scoping Plan for the Board’s consideration. EJAC was reconvened by the Board in 2021 to advise on the development of the 2022 Scoping Plan pursuant to AB 32.
