Funding Year 2025-2026 Research Solicitation Public Meeting: On Apr. 1 via remote participation CARB will hold a public meeting to discuss its fiscal year 2025-26 research solicitation. The projects included in the solicitation support CARB’s regulatory priorities related to health, environmental justice, economics, air pollution, and climate change. The selection of these projects was guided by the Triennial Strategic Research Plan for funding years 2021-2024 and the public comment and concept collection survey administered in Spring of 2024. Staff will provide an overview of the solicitation requirements, project details, and be available to answer questions. Detailed information on the solicitation requirements, projects, and workshops can be found on the solicitation landing page.
Research Seminar on Collection of Agricultural Equipment Activity Data: On Apr. 3 via remote access, CARB will host a seminar for a research study on how agricultural equipment with diesel engines operates in real-world farming in the San Joaquin Valley, California. In the study, agricultural equipment activity data was collected by data loggers instrumented on operating tractors and through operator-maintained records.
Public Workgroup on the Zero-Emission Assurance Project (ZAP): On Apr. 3 via remote access, CARB will host a public workgroup to discuss the Zero-Emission Assurance Project (ZAP), which was established by Assembly Bill (AB) 193 (Cervantes, Chapter 363, Statutes of 2018) to help lower-income Californians reduce the risk of buying a used zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) by providing a rebate or vehicle service contract for the replacement battery or fuel cell component.
Research Seminar on Measuring Heavy-Duty Vehicle Emissions at the Caldecott Tunnel: On Apr. 4 in Sacramento and via webcast, CARB will host a seminar on a research study measuring heavy-duty vehicle emissions at the Caldecott Tunnel in Oakland, California. The seminar will cover the emissions benefits of the Truck and Bus Regulation and examine vehicle age-related changes in the performance of exhaust after-treatment control systems.
